Missions

Missions is at the center of God’s heart. Therefore, we encourage members to be involved in “hands on” mission projects, both locally and abroad. (Acts 1:8).

Haiti

First Hattiesburg has sent two teams to Haiti in the past few months. We have partnered with Much Ministries to work with feeding programs for children, orphanages, schools, meet medical needs, distribute clothing, and do minor construction projects. In addition, individuals from our church family have made at least four other trips to help with various projects.

Haiti

Our children collect $2139.31 during Vacation Bible School for the relief effort in Haiti.

Brazil

First Hattiesburg members have just returned from a project in Brazil, where they were involved in medical clinics, building a church, distributing Operation Christmas Child gifts in schools. They have reported that 150 people prayed to receive Christ.

Honduras

First Hattiesburg members have a team in Honduras conducting medical clinics, construction, and personal evangelism.

M2010

Our youth travel to Douglasville, GA to work with the large community of international refugees there. They will be doing a variety of projects, including Bible Clubs for children.

Child Evangelism Fellowship

Again this year we will travel to the Midwest to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship (www.cefonline.com), a ministry committed to evangelizing children all over the world.

Operation Christmas Child

During November we will partner with Samaritan’s Purse to send Christmas gifts to needy children all over the world. More importantly, this opens doors for children to hear the gospel. This year, First Hattiesburg will serve as the regional drop off location for all churches collecting Christmas shoeboxes.

Operation Christmas Child Mission Trip

Our team will travel to Samaritan’s Purse packing and distribution center, where they will help prepare Christmas shoeboxes to be sent all over the world.
