Life Story
I became a Christian at the young age of 7 and I was raised in a very loving, Christian home. At age 12, my family moved to Fairhope, AL where we stayed until I graduated high school. In high school, I was a part of a fantastic youth ministry and I grew spiritually.
Calling
I went to college to study music and when I got out, like many young adults, I became a little overwhelmed by the limitless options the world had to offer. I knew I wanted to serve God in whatever I did, but I wasn’t sure at that time He was calling me to ministry. So I got a teaching job. I was an assistant band director at a high school in Laurel, MS and it was a great experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I worked there for about 2 years when I came to visit the choir here at FBC. I soon learned that there was a position here and I immediately felt like this was something God had been grooming me for my whole life. I’ve never been so sure of anything as I was of God’s will for me to be a part of the FBC staff. He has given me gifts and abilities that are perfect for what I do here and I truly feel so blessed to be a part of the staff and a part of this church home.
Vision
I pray that God’s vision will be carried out in this church and that we would be His vessels, ready to be used by Him. I’m excited to see what God has in store for us!
