Hero: One of my heroes, especially in the faith, is my paternal grandmother. She and my grandfather were founders of the small Missionary Baptist Church I attended growing up. She was widowed at 55 and also buried 7 of her 12 children before she went to be with the Lord at the age of 84. Through all the hardship and grief, she never wavered from the hope she found in Christ. She taught me more about the Bible and the One that inspired it more than any other person in my life.

Life Story

I accepted Christ as my personal savior at the age of 16. In 1980, while living in Houston, TX and attending a Nazarene Church, I was called by Him to a closer fellowship and service. My joy for the last 28 years has been to serve Him completely in whatever He calls me to do.

My life story at First Hattiesburg began in 2004 and has proven to be a fulfilling ministry to the congregation here. I continually strive to do my best to keep the church financial records current, correct, and in good order. It is my pleasure to assist staff and church members at any time. I pray for the continued growth of God’s Kingdom as He uses the leaders and congregation of First Hattiesburg.
